Thomas joined the SOS Lab as a PhD student in February 2026. His research focuses on the design and evaluation of novel RNA-based sensors and therapeutics.

Thomas completed a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, followed by a Master’s by Research at the University of Bristol (UK). During this time, his work investigated the role of Human DNA Helicase B (HELB) in homologous recombination.

His research interests lie in synthetic biology, with a particular emphasis on developing and applying innovative RNA technologies for precise cellular sensing and targeted therapeutic interventions. He is especially interested in translating these tools into real-world biomedical applications.
