Sara Al-Sayed joined the Bioinspired Communication Systems group in February 2016. She is working on the EU Project PrECISE.

Sara Al-Sayed received her B.Sc. degree in communications engineering, from the German University in Cairo, Egypt, in 2009. She wrote her thesis at Ulm University, Germany, in the area of ultra-wideband radar communications systems. As a DAAD scholar, she received her M.Sc. degree in communication technology from Ulm University, Germany, in 2011. Her thesis was concerned with beamforming strategies for physical-layer secrecy. In June 2011, she started her doctoral work in the Signal Processing Group at TU Darmstadt. Her dissertation was concerned with robust adaptation and learning over networks. She earned her doctoral degree in June 2016. In February 2016, she moved to the Bioinspired Communication Systems group, where she is now a postdoctoral researcher.

Research

The topic of Sara's current research is in the area of statistical systems biology. Her work is supported by the EU Horizon 2020 project “Personalized Engine for Cancer Integrative Study and Evaluation” (PrECISE).
